Kansas City is an important, historic trading post which was founded in the 1820s, when Kansas City became a major center for cattle. These days, Kansas City is a vast and spacious city, straddling the Missouri and Kansas state line.

Featuring many notable buildings dating back to the 1930s, Kansas City is known for its friendly atmosphere, tourist attractions, boulevards lined with trees, large city parklands, numerous fountains and famous Kansas City barbecues. With a major network of roads and highways, popular areas of tourism in Kansas City include River Market, the 18th and Vine District and the Westport District.
