Kansas City's Hodge Park is a diverse and beautiful park and is more than just a peaceful and pretty place to spend some time. Covering approximately 800 acres / 323 hectares, Hodge Park features a number of historical and entertainment attractions including a museum, indigenous wildlife area, an 18-hole golf course, sports fields and picnic areas.

Loose Park

Loose Park covers around 75 acres / 30 hectares and remains one of the most glorious parks in Kansas City. Highlights at Loose Park include a large lake, tennis courts, seasonal events and peaceful picnic spots. Linda Hall Library Arboretum

This tranquil, half-century-old arboretum is located next to the university grounds and extends across 14 acres / 6 hectares of tree-shaded land. In addition to almost 500 trees and over 150 varieties, Kansas City's Linda Hall Library Arboretum also features a rose garden and a vibrant display of shrubs, flowers and seasonal butterflies.

Penn Valley Park

Located just south of downtown Kansas City and spanning an area of 176 acres / 71 hectares, Penn Valley Park encompasses the Liberty Memorial, WWI Museum and several monuments, and is as popular for its historical significance as it is for its recreational options. The park hosts a bevy of summertime festivals and concerts, and provides abundant leisure options in the form of a large lake, walking trails and sports fields.

Swope Park

Swope Park is Kansas City's largest park and was opened in the late 19th century.
